Lech PoznaĆ for pride
By: Jackson | December 17th, 2008Without a point yet in the UEFA Cup, Feyenoord’s match against Lech PoznaĆ is strictly for pride. Yet to deny “pride” as a unifying cry is foolish as at this stage of the season, this might be the perfect answer to the clubs continueing problems. This past weeks 1-0 loss to AZ at de Kuip was particularly difficult as general play was quite high, excluding very poor finishing. Lech PoznaĆ hopes of advancing rely upon Nancy defeating Deportivo de La Coruña in conjuction with a victory today in Rotterdam. Gertjan Verbeek’s injury problems continue as he will be without Kevin Hofland, Diego Biseswar, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Jonathan de Guzman,Tim de Cler, Denny Landzaat, Ron Vlaar and Giovanni van Bronckhorst while the Polish side is fully-fit

It’s time to stop the over-training which is causing many of the injuries. They don’t need to do weight-training at this time of year.
Lech Poznan wins 1-0. No more Europe this year or next for Feyenoord.

It is not that they are weight-training, it is that they have been using a incorrect off-pitch training program. They were warned about this in the spring but did nothing about it.
