De Graafschap dominates Feyenoord 3-1
By: Jackson | December 7th, 2008
Het Legioen was thrown for a surprise as De Graafschap dominated Feyenoord on the way to 3-1 victory. While Feyenoord had numerous chances the final touch evaded them and De Graafschap won its first away match of the season. In the shape of things to come, Luigi Bruins point-blank range effort was saved by De Graafschap goalkeeper Erik Heijblok. However the visitors took Jason Oost opened the scoring eleven minutes in as he outraced the well-rooted Feyenoord defenders. As the match wore on Erik Heijblok was clearly the man of the match as he held every Feyenoord attack back. Henk van Stee’s club doubled the lead five minutes after the re-start as Purrel Fränkel provided Geert Den Ouden for the easy goal. The same combination worked again with twenty-one minutes remaining Den Ouden scoring his second of the night. Kevin Hofland added a consolation goal at the seventy-ninth minute but it was too little and too late as Feyenoord went down to a 3-1 defeat. Feyenoord has dropped to eleventh now and faces a huge test next week against first place AZ.

Jan – I read the article, it was great but I have a lot of problems reading / commenting because the some of the script cuts into my security software and stalls everything. It took me days to get my post up and some other shorter comments. I think I know how to counteract it next week.
At the match today – cheer us on!!
